About Marvin Smith
Human Centered Design
Marvin Smith is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and earned the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and the Master of Music (M.M.) degrees from Morehouse College and Georgia State University, respectively, in Music Theory and Music Composition.
Currently, Marvin is working towards the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Degree from The Interdenominational Theological Center. His expertise of study is Human Centered Design, with emphasis on a new collection of Spirituals and Protest Songs which reflects 21st century African American experiences.

The Design Challenge.
The Design Challenge is to create a new collection of Spirituals and Protest Songs, which reflect texts and experiences of the 21st Century; particularly, those affecting the African American community.
